24" WALL OVEN

Redesigning the Frigidaire 24" wall oven was a practice in adapting simple, open price point technology applications within the context of the 21st century and aligning it with the entire Frigidaire kitchen suite. At the most open price point, it is important to have updated technology.

The goal of the Frigidaire 24" Wall Oven project was to update the visual and functional design to make it modern.

Problem Solving/Concepts

The current 24" Wall Oven model was outdated from a visual standpoint. In particular, the venting coming out of the control panel area required modernization to revamp the look. Additionally, the small oven window was not large enough for users to see the contents of the oven and the UI was not centered. The sketches below detail the new venting system.

The 24" Frigidaire Wall Oven brings an updated look that retains details of the Frigidaire appliance designs. That is, the beveled edge surrounding the window and clean UI. One key improvement was the enlarged oven window allowing a user to easily see the contents of the oven.
